Our gate has continued to be relatively slow since early last week. This past Saturday almost no one came in or out. Sunday we had a few more "visitors" and then Monday was moderately busy, but still nothing like it has been. Today we only filled up one page plus five or so lines on page two. It's hard to know what to think. We were hoping to be here at least a month, but I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
We had major rain at the end of the week that left us practically floating away. The area in front of our 5th wheel where we have been parking our truck was a shallow pond and thus, when it came time to do shopping and laundry yesterday, the truck was stuck in the mud. Fortunately, one of the oil guys was driving by at the time and offered to pull us out. Wayne connected a tow rope to the back of our truck and it was liberated from the mud quickly. However, we now have to park on the side of the road closer to the RV in order to avoid this problem. We have already given Brandon, our guy from GGS, a heads-up that we will probably have to be pulled out when it is time to leave. If we can't even drive the truck out, there is no way it can pull a 14,000 lb. 5th wheel too! Oh well, we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
