TOMORROW IS THE DAY ...

... we are leaving Mississippi. We have been here for a little over three months and have enjoyed every minute. Well, probably not every single minute, but certainly most of them. We found this state to be beautiful, the people to be genuine and friendly, and if nothing else, polite. One hears "Yes, Ma'am" and "Yes, Sir" on a regular basis ... substantially different than California. Of course we never saw alligators in California either! (This one is in the lake right behind our trailer!)
     During our time here, we have made some very good friends. That is one of the best and worst things about this lifestyle. We make friends everywhere we go but then have to say goodbye. We shed some tears this past Sunday as we left Crosspoint Community Church for the final time. Of course we have already said goodbye to Jim and Carole (fellow workampers), and tomorrow it will be goodbye to everyone else here at Okatoma Resort.
     We are planning on taking seven days to get from the campground here in Hattiesburg to the Saco/Old Orchard Beach KOA in Saco, Maine. We will be stopping in Alabama, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York, finally arriving in Maine on the 14th. While in North Carolina, we will be parked at Sue's cousin Dotty's home in Valdese. We are looking forward to getting to know Dotty and her family, as Sue hasn't seen her since she was about 5 years old, and has no memory of meeting her at all.
